Jake Patterson is having a noteworthy start to his 2021 outdoor track season, winning the discus event Friday at the 2021 Wendy's Seahawk Navy Invitational with a new personal best of 40.73 meters (133 feet-7 inches), and also breaking the personal record (PR) he had registered one week ago in the hammer throw.
